Our diversity and inclusion strategy is focused on attracting and retaining brilliant, diverse people so we can continue to be a business where talent, creativity and inclusion thrive. This enables us to deliver great solutions for our customers, whose wide diversity we want to reflect.

We are signatories to the Government’s Women in Finance Charter and Business in the Community’s (BITC) Race at Work Charter.

We’re also a Stonewall Diversity Champion, Disability Confident employer and members of the Business Disability Forum.

We have been recognised for our in-house programme, Women in Insurance (WIN), and winning the Insurance Times Diversity and Inclusion Award in 2022.

How we focus on inclusion

Inclusion means we accept and champion people’s differences regardless of background, gender identity/reassignment, ethnicity, disability, sex, sexual orientation, religion, marital or family status, age, or pregnancy status.

We guarantee applicants with a disability – who meet the minimum criteria for a role – an interview as part of our Disability Confident status.

We know the best person for the job isn’t always available 9am-5pm, five days a week and, as one of the first insurance companies to offer most of our roles on a part-time, job-share or other flexible basis, we embrace a flexible working approach.

Despite our excellent people practices, we never stop reaching for ambitious targets. Whether it’s reducing the gender pay gap, increasing ethnic minority representation or supporting disabled employees, we’re determined to improve.
