The communities we operate in are important to us and our people. Amongst other initiatives, we continue to review and improve our volunteering policy.
As of 2024, our people can now take a maximum of two discretionary paid volunteering days each year. Additionally, our policy is now even more inclusive of local community work.
Since these recent changes, we have seen a significant increase in the number of volunteer days being taken by our people to support causes and initiatives that are important to them.
All our people are encouraged to seek opportunities to volunteer, and we have both an information site and a community page to share everything from FAQs to experiences.
There are so many ways our people choose to volunteer and support our community, and we are so pleased to see so many people getting involved.
Volunteering days include helping at local pride celebrations, animal rescue shelters, local scout and guide groups, Oxfam at Glastonbury festival, beach cleans, and opportunities with Air Ambulances UK (AAUK), our corporate charity.
