Personal belongings cover
What is Personal Belongings cover?
This is optional cover that protects your personal belongings up to a limit of your choosing, (maximum £10,000) for theft, loss or damage and up to £2,000 per item (£500 for mobile phones).
Personal belongings are items belonging to you or your family, which are normally worn, used or carried outside of your home. Some can be expensive or impossible to replace if the worst should happen when you have them on you. But with Personal Belongings cover, you can protect your items when you're away from your home.
What’s covered
- Phones and cameras
- Tablets and laptops
- Contents of your bag
- Jewellery
What’s not covered
- Loss from an unattended vehicle, unless it is broken into and the items are out of sight in a glove box or locked boot
- Contents you wouldn’t normally use, carry or take outside the home
- Items worth over £2,000 (£500 for mobile phones), as these need to be specified individually to be covered away from home
