Iain Belson appointed as Director of Distribution, while Beth Pilgrim joins as Strategic Portfolio Manager
Ageas UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Iain Belson as Director of Distribution and Beth Pilgrim as Strategic Portfolio Manager, further strengthening Ageas’s renowned commitment to the personal lines broker market. Beth joins the business in October 2024, while Iain will start his role in November 2024 working alongside Claire Green, Director of Distribution.
With over 10 years of experience in the personal lines’ insurance market, Iain’s expertise will perfectly complement the existing team and Ageas’s distribution strategy. His extensive background covers various facets of the personal lines’ insurance market, including distribution, partnerships, and aggregation, as well as bringing a distributor perspective. Iain joins Ageas from BGL Insurance, where he held several roles, most recently as Associate Director for Insurer Partnerships and Supplier Management.
In his new role, Iain will be working closely with Claire Green to share the leadership of broker and partner distribution relationships, enabling greater focus on further growing Ageas's broker channel, which generates over 80% of the business.
Beth is a seasoned insurance professional with over 20 years of experience in underwriting and business development, from both an insurer and broker perspective. Throughout a dynamic career, she has worked with a range of prominent insurers, including Ensign, QBE, and ERS, and spent five years on the broking side with Clements Worldwide.
