“All I know is there’s petrol in it and it drives.” That was one - not untypical - response we received when we took to the streets of London to find out how much Brits really know about their car dashboard warning lights.
There are lots of warning lights. You’ll see them when they light up on your dashboard for a fleeting second when you start the engine. That’s just normal. But if one comes on – and stays on – while you’re driving, then it means there’s a problem. Would you know what each light means?
We asked passers-by in London if they understood what the different warning lights mean – you can see how they got on in the video below:
